The telling
of stories is a time honored tradition traced
back to ancient man. No other thing in
the world is as powerful as the telling of stories
through moving images and sound.
Surfing has always been more than just
a physical expression, it's a way of life. To
accurately express surfing through moving pictures
is our passion and the telling of stories not
widely known is in our soul.
Stories change, enhance, entertain and make a
difference in peoples lives. As surfing is a part
of us, we will tell the story of life and show
it is made greater because of it.
Our films feature places far and near with incredible
surfing, adventure and the people who make up
an integral part of each story. Our current films
available on DVD are "Jungle Juice:
Surfing Costa Rica's Southern Zone" and
"Going With The Flow: Classic California
Soul Surfing". "Going With The Flow:
Surfing Costa Rica's Jungle Breaks"is
in it's later stages of post production and will
soon be screening in theaters.
Arsen Productions films are presented at theaters,
film festivals, on television, cable, special
events, through the Internet and on DVD, nationally
as well as internationally. Look for our films
at your local surf shop and here in our Store
which provides a convenient way to purchase them
on DVD to be shipped to you.
Thanks once again for visiting our site and we
hope you enjoy experiencing our films as much
as we enjoy making them. Stay stoked!

"SUP:
The Next Step" is an upcoming film
we're currently producing. Beach Boy Style
Surfing aka Stand Up Paddle Surfing (SUP)
is currently the fastest growing watersport. Many
are discovering this watermans activity which
was first started by the Waikiki Beach
Boys as a method to photograph the tourists
out in the water as well as for excercise circa
1930's. SUP was almost lost but
has been resurrected and brought to the masses
by one of our times' greatest surfers/watermen/athletes,
Laird Hamilton. Through Laird's
high profile persona many have embraced his stoke
and dug in roots within their respective communities.
Arsen Productions traveled to Hawai'i
in November 2007 to film/document SUP
and the people using them as part of a multi-segment
documentary featuring Hawaii, California and the
East Coast of the US. Learn more about the history,
benefits, applications, fun as well as dangers
associated with a wave sliding method which is
expanding surfings future. Terry
Chung Hawaiian big wave surfer and shaper
has been promoting the stand up paddle movement
on his island playground for several years and
provided his knowledge to the film through an
interview and surfing action. Refining shapes
to best suit the islands' big waves demanding
force, Terry's become a leader in the boards designs
and the way they're ridden. The film will demonstrate
how this new and possibly ancient hybrid of surfing
has come around and continues to evolve
in big to small waves. Two noteworthy
shaper/surfers, one from California
and the second from the East Coast
will also be featured in this film. Who are the
two guys representing their areas? You'll be stoked
to find out! Come back to this News post to learn
who the other two individuals are being featured
in the film.
